Marcus Antônio de Oliveira Vilar (Marcus Vilar; Campina Grande, Paraíba, July 5, 1959) is a Brazilian filmmaker. Despite having cinema as a profession, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education at the Federal University of Paraíba in 1981 and specialized in History of Brazil and Paraíba in 2001 at Faculdades Integradas de Patos.
