Umut Evirgen was born in Istanbul in 1990. He studied business at Berkeley College and finished his M.A. in film and television at Istanbul Bilgi University. His first short film Fine Dying was selected to the 33rd Edmonton Film Festival (Oscar Qualifying). He established Set Sanat Production Company to bring to life his own projects in 2019.
